look guy's I'm not after a argument or another 50 line tread.
I have not got the magic answer for Dave's problem and I was just trying help.
I have suggested three possible areas that may be causing the problem, but without physically seeing the car and testing my-self cannot think of any other advise to give Dave.
Come on 30 hours is a very long time to try a find the problem. And if by now he is no closer to finding the root cause then he is not going to do it without wasting more time and Money.
Operating like this is going to destroy yourself as a person and your Business.
I always set my self a diagnostic time scale, with certain faults and cars. After that time period as elapsed if I have not got a answer or very close to the answer then, its time to say sorry cannot do this and move on to the next job.
You cannot and will not fix every car that comes through the door. this is skill you learn with experience when specializing in vehicle diagnostic's
