I Agree that what Darren is Saying is the Best way out, But Its a lot easier to Walk away from a job when your a Mobile Guy than if you Get the car Dumped at your garage for a repair. ( The Customer gets really peeed off if he has to pay for the Car recovering to your place and then again to have it recovered again to another garage or to his home ) Once its there You Normally have to Fix it or Give them a good reason why you can't fix it. ( Price etc ).
( it would be very difficult to say I haven't got a Clue what i am doing and cannot fix this one )
I am Sorry to say that I am The type that has to fix it for my own Benefit as I could not keep turning Jobs away, A lot of jobs turn out that we would have prefered not to have got involved with them if we had known how it was going to turn out, I also do not send ecu's for testing as a rule as I find it better to diagnose the problem on the vehicle and if possible fit a new or used ecu, Ecu Testing Wastes time whilst it is sent away, and isn't alway's as Accurate as we would hope, and at least a Replacement ecu is Unlikely to have Exactly the same fault as the original,
