Well done Dave, That was better than backing out after wasting all those hours, ( All due to some Cockup/lack of communication and incorrect Testing Procedure that led you up the Garden path ). ?? ( i hope you weren't charged for someone playing with your ecu that cannot test it properly. ?? )
And I bet I know the way that you will go next time, ?? Try another unit. Rather than using the Testing Methods of an Ecu Repairer. ?? ( Any Ecu Repairer, Not just ATP ) There is only so much that they can test on a Bench and sometimes that is not good enough.
Pity that when you Telephoned them that they Insisted that it was ok. ?? Which I know Has happened to other people.
Trouble is when your good at something or think you are, Its too easy to get over confident and cocky and insist that your right. ?? ( me Included )
Lucky really that mike Came on a let you know that they Cannot test these Ecus Properly. ??
At least that helped to convince you that you might be right after all.
So Did you have all the 5v feeds after the ignition had been left on for a while or did it drop off as Mike Suggested. ??
