********Why would lambda be below 1? The car is not running rich!*********** Yes I and we all know that. The car is most probably fuelling efficiently and the raised CO is most probably due to an inefficient cat. This is all summantics. I personally find raised CO generally means lower Lambda but am not going to argue about it. Anyway here is the latest update. Customer has ignored advice of biting the bullet and has taken advice from local garage and has now acquired a known good second hand cat (car passed emissions test but scrapped anyway) and WELDED it to his new one . Not sure if the 2nd one will get hot enough to "light" up. Not come across this before and I don't need to wonder why. Car going back for MOT tomorrow so will post with result. Best Regards Pete M
