But again IMHO (and experience)CO is a product of combustion, so anything that reduces combustion will reduce CO. A good cat and the closed loop system can distort this fact(theory). How many times have you seen a car with a slight misfire, even a car with cam timing out but the tailpipe emissions have been almost perfect and well within MOT spec. Going back to Petes origial 4 gas readings, these readings are too good to be anything other than a cat fault especially if the car drives well and lambda/ecu are in closed loop. Also in my experience most failed cats will produce a slightly high lambda reading on a gas analyser. Mike
