You are right John, there are many reasons why each gas may not be at the level it should,(air leaks,poor conpression,timing issues, the list is endless) it is easy to see how people can get confused with the readings,however like most things it does help to have a good basic understanding first. The best "cat" in the world will not neutralize 5% CO. The same as the Lambda sensor will only react to the gases that it sees, if there is a air leak up stream it will read lean. |
