Hi blokes, sorry to chuck another spanner in, but wouldn't the loss of a cylinder, for whatever reason, lower the vacuum of the engine, and on map sensed systems, cause the ECM to richen the mixture to the other cylinders, whereupon the O2 sensor will tell the ECM to go lean? On MAF systems, the airflow would decrease and the engine would run lean? Maybe?? As for Pete's customers cat, I cannot see an extra cat tacked on behind the original getting hot enough to work, by the time shes paid the Garage to fit the secondhand (unknown quantity) cat, she would have been better off buying quality in the first place.
