I'd argue that someone like George Galloway can not ever become the leader of a major political party in the UK, let alone that he'd be allowed to become PM. At least, not in 'normal times.' When we lurch into 'un-normal times' things are different. Historically, social democracy's role has been to act as another bulwalk against 'revolution' in society. To channel the broad mass of the working class into a safe coral, a coral they don't even know they're inside until they try to break out of it. That's why I find Corbyn's sentimentality and 'love' of the Labour Party, somewhat nausiating. It is, a ####ing game, man. If you don't understand that much, then you are never going to play it properly, let alone win it! In fact the winning part isn't even possible, but that's perhaps another story?
