Spare me. Jesus' teachings were mostly fairly obvious. It is however these obvious points the richest find the hardest to grasp. If you think his philosophies were ineffable, or at the least difficult to understand, you're probably trying too hard. Maybe your career as a lay preacher depends on over complicating the very simple? Margo's cartoon is on the mark. Imagine if that story still told a miracle (a few loaves and fish shared with too many to make sense), but that it excluded all but those he decided we're most important. It would neither be a miracle or an inspiration but only a cheap trick of yet another elitist. Either all survive or none do; stories of old indigenous Australian culture follow the same uncompromising strategy. Why? Because it is the only thing that really works. Evidence building in biology too that nature itself replete with such examples. Altruism and genuine sharing boosts all.
