You will see from the Webster definitions the true meaning (in Greek https://en.bab.la/dictionary/english-greek/apocalypse), https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/apocalypse ..the word has come to mean, "catastrophe" because often that is what is revealed! The Mayans were sure not to predict the outcome of any unveiling knowing that human reactions cannot be predicted.. Nb. "The auto drove mankind further than the wheel and in remote areas, even today, is considered a device too suspect for human conveyance!" |
