Yeah but, you asked: Is that what the level of discourse here.. .. Has been reduced to? Nothing about expectations of one poster v another. I can relate to that frustration vented by JL, because the constant, beyond tedious carping and insults coming from that poster have indeed brought the level of discourse down to something like playground taunting. The funny thing is that when that poster tried - for once - to make a claim about some tangible, real world, positive outcome of leaving the EU (his claim that 'cheaper food' would be forthcoming), he couldn't get his facts straight. But he won't discuss being wrong about that - other than calling people names. He can't reflect on his mistake and concede that there will not be 'cheaper food' after leaving. I think it's very telling that he can't come up with a single tangible positive that actually has a factual basis, rather than his arrogant belief in his own ideas above anything else. And anyone who doesn't see it his way is just a wanker/fascist/liberal/nincompoop/full of shit/a coward/popinjay etc. ad nauseam. So yeah, if you want to bemoan the level of 'discourse', you might look that way and not make excuses for him based on expectation and ask why does someone that you don't expect to make derogatory comments get so frustrated that they snap. JL is more than capable of speaking for himself ofcourse, but I suspect that it's because he's annoyed and frustrated at the level of discourse emanating from that person, don't you think? Cheers
