I don't see how my post is insulting - I gave two examples, one strawman and one non sequitur, so think that qualifies as reasonable and measured. Why would you consider that an insult but say nothing when someonen shouts 'wanker!'?! 'Your accusations there don't fit profile of the sentence you referred to, which lead me to believe you were simply cross with me for challenging your post. Which is fine, I let stuff like that slide. If it misses it's not worth arguing.' No, not worth arguing, but I think I explained above why it's not an insult - or a 'level of discourse' such as is being discussed here. What I was somewhat annoyed about was how you focused on an aside (farm subsisies) and didn't comment at all on Keith's clanger on 'cheaper food', which was my main point. Down below you then responded by saying you missed my main point!! How??! It's right there, written down. 'The fact though you had time to collect quotes of Keith from across the board, but not to respond to my honest questions down on that post tell me emotional reaction is high here ATM, and as such logic and reason low.' It took about two minutes to collate those insults as they're all from the last few days - it's a pattern though. If you tap on the icon next to a posters name in one of their messages, it takes you to a list of just their posts, so it's easy. But anyhow, why do I need to account for how I spend my time? As for emotional reaction being high atm: not for me it isn't. Like I've said: I don't care one way or the other. But I do care when people behave like a twat and it affects aother people aroun them; and I do care when someone makes an absurd claim that I know is wrong, hence my involvement; but I'm not emeotional about it, not at all. 'I'd be happy to start again, but could use clarification on some of the issues raised in that thread below (initiated by Keith's post, so obviously a thought provoked..).' Sure, it's always a pleasure to chat with you, even when you're annoying. I'll say, broadly, on the questions and comments you made below (on sfp and so forth) that you're right in most of what you say - but so am I - it's more a question of perspective, I think. But if you want something more specific pls just collect some questions/comments onto one spot and I'd be happy to discuss cheers
