Except that there are more way to cook than by fire. Even now we hang meat to allow it to naturally rot before cooking. I think we forget that just because weve been advised for a long time that meat needs to be cooked, it isnt actually true. We just like it that way, and with modern practises, its more important because of storage times, transport etc. Hung (rotted), preserved (as in salamis, etc, frozen and thawed, etc. Things which break down the cell structure without introducing things that might harm us (and our modern constitutions are ridiculously weak - I know an old lady who still likes her clabber, stuff that would probably nearly kill someone half her age) are all ways to do the same natural pre-digestion that omnivores have been chasing for millenia.
