I have no prior understanding of this subject, and I see a lot of people who I've previously valued the opinions of (Vanessa, Eva, Peter Hitchens, etc) with a history of challenging the accepted line of the media, really playing this down. I get that they don't trust the governmemts/media, neither do I, but in this case I wonder if they also have enough understanding of the subject to be objective.
For me, I'm going on the knowledge Dan is imparting, and also think that the one graph that is pretty clear and not open to too much misinterpretation is the ONS weekly total (from any cause) death stats: https://members5.boardhost.com/xxxxx/msg/1587460797.html
Just looking at the London numbers, it's obvious something very different is happening. At this point (10th Apr) three weeks into lockdown, it looks like what could have continued exponentially is starting to slow. I'm going with Okham's Razor here and saying that lockdown is what's caused the slowdown:
