    They probably didn't even bother to look at it. Their techs are more than likely earning too much bonus doing servicing and after a quick test drive and the fault isn't present they just shrug their shoulders and think the customer must be wrong. I come across this all the time in the motor trade but my philosophy is that the customers do know there own car. I was recently told about a garage that left the car in the same place all day and told the customer he wouldn't have any DTC's as the MIL wasn't showing. It turned out to be a simple crank sensor which threw up a code and was confirmed on a scope, all in about 20 mins. It might also be better to speak to the dealer yourself as I suspect that the customer probably dealt with a smartly dressed person on the reception desk who just had a training course on how to smile nicely
