Thanks Darren. That is Exactly what I was getting at.
FORD ETIS LISTS THIS CODE AS :- " P1235 throttle position sensor circuit 1 and 2 plausibility error"
This is Back to Having the right tool for the right job and the right information. ( Nothing comes close and using "ANYTHING" else can cause us severe Stress and Headaches, Plus wasted time, wasted money and a very annoyed customer )
>>>>>>>>>Hi Peter,if the car is returned with the same fault present one way to proceed would be the following. Use a four channel scope if possible and connect the four channels as follows; channel 1 earth circuit of sensor, channel 2 main feed of sensor(one of if two), channel 3 track 1 output, channel 4 track 2 output. <<<<<<<<<<<
And then carry out an extended Test drive of 2000 miles over a 5 month period using 2 staff, ( One driving and one watching the scope) Untill the Fault hopefully occurs.
Good way of Testing, But if it is so intermittent and it is internal in the throttle body, the chance of it showing up at the time of testing is a bit slim. ??
But Realy If the Ford Guys know that it needs a new Harness, there is either a design fault or something blatantly obvious that they can see. I would think that anything to do with a faulty harness can be repaired, How Difficult can it be. ?? A Corroded connector plug or a bad connection. ??
