I do try to check fault code descriptions in another way (Autodata book, another scan tool) if I am at all in any doubt, as the description of the code is always 100% accurate/unambiguous isn't it? However when you have a workshop full of cars or customers it's easy to take the code description at face value. It always seems to be the ones where you try and "wing it" that turn to bite you.
