It just goes to show that on some faults you should step back and try and find out more about the systems you are working on rather than rushing in, so maybe i should hold my hands up a bit on this one, especially as much of your explanation was covered in a recent Bosch course i attended (2 TPS to error check throttle movement etc)
The original fault back in May, i should have investigated further rather than replace the throttle pedal, but his fault did disappear for 5 months, so when it returned the customer assumed the part i fitted was faulty. I sent him to the dealers to verify, but they found nothing, the customer was not happy, but cannot do without his vehicle, he asked me to change it at his expense
Then the (EAC Fail) started flashing this morning for the first time, this was when i realised that there was more to this problem
I will ring my customer in the morning to see what he want to do
