Typical over caution I suspect on behalf of the manufacturers. I can't imagine what motivates these strict repair rules If we all followed these rules to the letter, then repair costs would make it unviable for many repairs to be carried out. As a prime example, I am thinking about Common Rail high pressure pipes that are supposedly a "fit once" item. The reality is quiet different!
