Hello all, Been reading this post, When the head is skimmed this brings the crank shaft pulley and cam shafts closer together so the none tensioned side of the belt is too slack, so when the tensioner comes in to play it is moving the cam sprockets back too much (doesn't take much to upset modern engines!!! one day they will all be disposable  ).
