Hi Tomski Well you need to progress beyond the kindergarten stage These are strawmen - intersectionality (and genuine feminism, anti-racism) is usually concerned with serious discrimination and abuse - not 'culture'. It's interesting, the number of people who have railed at the term 'rape culture' here, yet the word 'culture' is so often used by the class warriors to belittle serious abuses.
Everyone who has posted here against gender abuse has acknowledged the corporate-style hijacking of feminism; I have seen NO-ONE promote 'ID politics'. Yet time after time it is invoked to bash genuine, serious gender and race issues. Big Straw person.... Almost everything put up here against so-called identity politics attempts to blur the distinction. They don't want the baby or the bathwater!
These are worth reading to get a real view of what intersectionality and feminism are about:
Both were 'discussed' here, I can heartily recommend NOT looking them up on our archive - almost the worst discussions ever here, if memory serves. Embarrassingly bad
So it's no use trotting out the tried and trusted stalwarts - Pilger is dissing the corporate feminism but doesn't bother to separate it from the worthwhile, real part. In this respect, they are acting as gatekeepers.
