Thanks for the gentle put down of Pilger and Neil Clarke (& lil' old me) . It is not just a couple of trusty old leftists that have problems with ID politics I noted, hence my half-abandoned project to collect and contrast the views may be revived, despite your urging to the contrary (and I was talking about MY archives : )). Perhaps, next time I may have more time to ensure that we discuss the 'specimen' e.g. Pilger vid, rather than just dissing it as a 'gatekeeper' phenomenon. I am not indignant, mind, just watchful .
Intersectionallity has become a bit of a chewing-gum, and depending on where it comes from it can transform into a weapon (e.g. with neolibs and their useful clods). I have a folder under that name, so I'll file it, and at some point I will check it out and chew on it. Thanks.
A recent example has been the trans issue intersecting with child welfare we discussed here a while back. Look how much space on the board that took! It is an example of the distraction and frankly should be kept in the academic circles until they work out how to talk to the rest of us without diverting us from the main issues like wars, economics, climate and class.
