I do see problems here, and sometimes i'll try and intervene for fairness, regardless of the argument, but often i just don't have the mental energy to join in - i want to post here to share info, not get involved in heated arguments about non issues (i do that in real life) - if a computer is increasing my adrenaline i tend to turn it off (i'm a sensitive flower).
I've posted less than i would have here due to the reaction i've had to some of my postings - i'm happy to hear criticism of the content of my posts, but direct insults and imputing dubious motivations to me and others here is too much. I'm sure some here would be glad that i post less and avoid certain subjects, but is this really what we all want this place to feel like?
That's not to say i think 'policing' is the answer (who'd do it?) - but i do think our collective self-policing of behaviour could be better - heated disagreements are fine, but there's never any need for insults or bullying.
