"...but clearly, well, the vote itself was clearly not a Tory or old man's vote. How could it be when it was a vote for Brexit, and not Tory!?" Ummm... Its a Tory UKIP vote because that's in the main who voted for it of course. "Let's say though that "Brexit = right wing reaction" - whatever this may mean..." -If you don't know what it means why would you posit accepting it for sake of argument? Assuming your confession of not understanding to be genuine, "Reactionary" is, (like demographics on the Brexit vote...) also easy enough to Google: 1. opposing political or social progress or reform. "reactionary attitudes toward women's rights" synonyms:right-wing, conservative, rightist, ultra-conservative, ultra-right, alt-right; noun 1. a reactionary person. "he was later to become an extreme reactionary" synonyms:right-winger, conservative, rightist, diehard, Colonel Blimp... Any clearer? "Does this mean the EU project remains healthful, humane, an enlightened progressive, democratic, empowering of members and moreover a project with legs and self-aware, capable of change should this be sought?" Oh I see... you DID know what it meant after all...well when I compare it to England's elderly Brexiteer rabbit-hunter-gathers & its Westminster led disaster capitalists I think I can safely conclude that whatever EU misgivings I have, its at least the sane option.
