Stepping back. A lot of tedious English labourites get hot under the collar about Scots independence because, you know, England is true blue, the (not)thinking goes, ergo, lose the fringes and "we"'ll be doomed to Tory rule to the year dot. This is, like yours, for me a narrow view. Change the economics - out of the EU - and you will certainly see a lot more public investment of necessity. The UK state will likely fall apart slowly or otherwise. England's imperial footprint will inevitably shrink. I see no reason why a a social-democratic government won't draw back from war. Or, maybe not.
But then your argument is akin to those arms dealers who cry "if we didn't sell landmines, someone else would". Behind it also is often heard (from you or not) the whisper that "Europe" is somehow more sensible, more "liberal", less violent - a common view in Germany for ex. The island monkeys are such a bad influence! It's ultimately a counsel of despair which is always a reactionary position.
---- On the other stuff I thought you were casting aspersions about my life and background and to that I responded because I thought, that's not fair, but then lots of guesswork and indirect scuffing there so, what do I, or you know anyway? Lets leave that side of it.
