You all seem to be missing the current issue - Parliament has become irrelevant - May has all Archived Message

the cards. The media and politicians keep talking about the historic "meaningful votes" of Parliament in refusing to accept "May's deal" - but if it was meaningful it would be legally binding on the Government but the first and second votes were clearly not binding on anyone no matter the size of the majority of MPs voting for them since May is going for a 3rd and possibly 4th or 5th "meaningful vote" until she gets a decision in her favour. Meanwhile she is using national resources to bribe the DUP to keep her in power and it appears they are coming up for more cash to vote for her deal - isn't this the US system the pork barrel system! So Brexit is totally in the gift of May who was never voted into power but was bought in by bribing the DUP with money for their constituencies. This is not representative democracy never mind true democracy - it is autocracy for the period between general elections. Parliament is only able to pass meaningless votes on the most important event in British History for the last 40 years! cheers
