There are too many subjective terms in there to draw bell-ringing conclusions from. Anti-semitic in usual parlance means dislikes Jews (though of course there are other semitic peoples). When leftwing people are publicly smeared as anti-semitic, it's not in terms of convoluted references to Zionism or anti-Zionism, or 'Jewish anti-Zionism'! If Atzmon is anti-semitic as you say, and Chris Williamson supports him, doesn't that make Williamson anti-semitic too? That was Lord Falconer's claim. Best to avoid party dogmas, they are not good. |
