I'm assuming you've not been on this site much in the past 3 years, because Keith has been saying it since then (that he will tell you so), about corbyn and the referendum issues. ) you can probably go back to look at archived records, and you find it many times throughout that period starting just after he got in as leader, but I'd say if you need evidence you can either use anecdotal or trawl the records. It will be there. There's more recent examples in the last several pages, and it seems only him, psingh, Chris Rogers and myself (possibly Jamie) suggested it. but there is evidence. Everyone just seemed to ignore the mildly worded arguments and jump on Keith. Personally I think the post election harshness is a result of people not enjoying having it proved by results that elections don't work if you want positive change. Seems to be a little rewriting of that history here, people suggesting they knew it wouldn't happen but they had to try. That wasn't my reading of the mood beforehand. More that despite corbyn being establishment labour and surrounding himself with blairites, somehow if he got in he would suddenly get all forceful and shit. I would have liked to see him get in so we could see the same old Obama style leadership once again to underline that avenue, that putting your faith in leaders is a fools game. In fact I said that before the election too, here. But whatever, perhaps with no false hope in place people will finally start agitating with a bit more seriousness than hoping to petition a good King! |
