The good garage scheme works because, like all good ideas its simple. The site keith mentions would never be found in cyberspace. Unlike the Good Garage Scheme, people instinctively key in "good garage" and its top of Googles list. Its simple to use and is written in plain English. Has for the credibility of the British Standards Institute, people tend not to trust anything to official or sounding like its connected to some national government department. I think the way forward is for garages to be licensed with local trading standards or the local authority like MOT testing, Taxis and Pubs. How can a Chinese takeaway be registered and inspected and not a garage? Also training on new vehicle systems should be compulsory and not voluntary!!
