It would be interesting to hear what Forte says about that. I don't see how using an engine flush sensibly (i.e not driving the car before dropping the oil) can adversely affect the oil consumption unless there is an underlying problem. This statement from Vauxhall is fine for a 1 year old engine with 10,000 miles on the clock but what about 5 or 10 years old with 50,000 or 100,000 miles? They must have a confidence in their engines that I lack! Even the very best engine oils will not stop the sticky deposits you get with higher mileage.
Just my opinion.
