Even with uccc,s its not a hard sell, its soft francising,we have been a member since it started,i choose whether or not to fit there products, along with my customers.
I feel that with Forte they have a very good marketing campaign a bit like the Magners cider add, suddenly were all cider drinkers? and don't want to be seen as the odd one out.
Although i think this type of scheme is good for our trade,I believe this is the wrong way to go about it.It stinks of BIG brother.
I think the more garages that sign up will put pressure on those others to join but for the wrong reasons.Forte want to keep the ball rolling. This is marketing at its lowest form.
I cannot say too much on this open forum but i know of a one man band that operates and does repairs at his house that is on this scheme,no disrespect to you guys who work for themselves but i know what this fellow does.
I do use Forte products as and when and they do what it says on tin, but i will not be backed into a corner to use it on every service.
Regards Tony
