A customs union, which Labour is pushing for, may be supported by the EU. For a start, there'll be no Irish problem. Nationalising the utilities has always been a key policy on the cards for the LP. I don't like the fact that Remain (unless you can sell custom's union as Remain) will be on the ballot. It's a sell-out to the PLP - I guess it's the art of possible, unless one wishes for the break-up of the LP. |
