The vote was recognised as being for Brexit but the Tories couldn't get a deal through, even though they had an outright majority followed by a majority with the DUP. I'm not sure there was a mandate for simply crashing out of the EU the moment the people voted for it -- or do you think that would have been the correct thing to do?
Further, by your logic you could wait 20 years and still demand that the vote be acted on. Do you not think that the electorate needs to be asked again at some point? And if yes, when?
