All good discussion points. This reminds me when the EEC had to make a decision on petrol emissions many years ago. Do we go the way of the USA with catalytic converters and the associated engine management paraphernalia or the Japanese way with lean burn engines. We went the USA way and the customer then had to pick up the costs of expensive catalytic converters etc.
All of this in the name of "Global Warming." When you consider that only 2.5% of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere is man-made and a tiny proportion of that figure is produced by the motor vehicle, it would appear to me that the world is disappearing up its own back-side to try and solve a perceived problem......
