Had a BMW 530d in today with cat and DPF removed, (DPF casing welded up so obviously tampered with),been programmed for performance and dpf delete. A fair amount of black smoke under accelleration,
Passed an MOT today, but customer almost passed out when I told him about law change in February. To bring this car back to OE spec, will require DPF and CAT + software change, to bring it back to new MOT standards will probably get away with a DPF only-as obvious signs of tampering to original. It will be interesting to see how the VI deal with it.
