We've had the first official-ish comment from one of the top bodies about this subject.
Doesn't provide a huge amount that we didn't already know, but it does put a little bit more meat on the bones........

...... if I was a betting man, I'd say that many of the points raised by you guys here (and others) have caught the authorities unaware and they may not have considered the effects of certain permutations associated with the law change when it was announced.
Let's hope a clear and concise instruction on what to do in each and every circumstance when undertaking DPF checks at MOT time is circulated as soon as possible, otherwise I can see some cutting corners in their inspection process to avoid the headache of dealing with the resulting issues that could come from a failing DPF.
If we hear anything from VOSA then we'll publish it immediately!
