Just back end of last week from 5 yearly 2 day refresher course and the dpf/cat question was discussed.
The Vosa view is if they have been removed and there is obvious new pipework in placr where the dpf/cat should be its a definate fail.
If they have been butchered , (cut open and gutted) then welded back up then they pass.
We are not able to see inside either so have no idea what is inside, only they are still in the system so must be passed.
