Yes this has rumbled on a bit, they are all old links and nothing about any of the above has come to realisation (yet)

But perhaps the lawyers acting for VW and Bosch as you point out (2), have said hang on a minute, we are being prosecuted for installing defeat software on our diesel vehicles......while in the UK you have Independent Garages installing similar cheat software and they are getting away with it? (companies selling the cheat type software for DPF removal even though they know its illegal)

So maybe this has woken up a sleeping government official......have to wait and see if this guy has got his facts right
