At the end of the day this new 'Motor Industry Code' is a business. So why should they feel obliged to liase with other organisations who are, in effect, their competitors? This is the fundamental problem with with this latest code - It's a profit making business with it's own objectives, not an organisation for helping the motor industry, and certainly not for supporting the independant sector! They've seen a gap in the market and tried to fill it - using the threat of the 'super complaint' both as a stick and a carrot!
No wonder all the dealerships have signed up - When they heard about this 'super complaint' a lot of them would have started thinking about some of their past conduct and soiled shemselves!
I say - "Bring it on!"
Again - just my thoughts.
Paul.
